Farmers Co-Op Elevator Co, Inc. has officially broken ground on a new facility to expand and relocate the Hudsonville business divisions; Box and Basket and Michigan Turf and Ornamental, and the retail store. This new facility will be located adjacent to the mill facility on 64th Ave in Zeeland and will consist of a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse with multi-row racking, outside storage capacity, and a 3,000+ sq. ft. retail area. A partial second-floor mezzanine will accommodate offices for administration, sales, and a multi-purpose meeting room.
"This move and expansion will allow continued growth with increased efficiencies and logistics while providing our customers with better service", says President Dan VanderSchuur. The facility is expected to be completed in April of 2022.
